Rosslare, Wexford

Rosslare is a pleasant and popular seaside resort which boasts a most attractive Blue flag beach, and various sporting facilities. The ferry terminal at Rosslare Harbour (Ireland's second largest passenger port) provides passenger services from Ireland to South Wales and the ports of northern France.

Things To Do in Rosslare

3km from Rosslare Ferryport on N25 is Yola Farmstead Folk Park, an 18th century themed farmstead, featuring a restored farmhouse, forge, school house, working mill, thatched cottage and craft shop. Yola is also a state appointed Heritage & Genealogy Centre.

Amidst the South East’s dominating parkland golf courses stands Rosslare Golf Club, the region’s only links course which is located a mere 6 miles from the ferry terminal. Golfers will also enjoy St. Helen's Bay Golf Resort, set in a beautiful location, with 14 holes of the course overlooking the coast and Tuskar Lighthouse.

All along the eastern coast, north or south of Rosslare, shore fishing venues are plentiful for those who enjoy the sport.

17 miles from Rosslare, Shelmalier Riding Stables provide scenic woodland and mountain rides all year round.

Both the Rosslare Strand and Europort are well equipped with approved accommodation, water sport and many other activities for all the family.
