For the more experienced surfer Tramore, which has produced countless Irish and Intercounties surfing champions, offers a glorious 3 mile south facing stretch of beach with the challenge of an ever changing beach break wave. Oceanics Surf School with its highly experienced professional team, guarantees you the most amazing surfing experience. Family owned and run it celebrates 13 years in operation in 2010. The Surf School base is located @ The Red Cottage 30m from Tramore Beach front. The easy, comfortable atmosphere of the surf school base and it's surrounds, is both owner and staff created. Participants in surfing lessons and surf school activities can chillax and enjoy the privacy of the surf schools large secluded sun trap deck area located to the rear of the cottage, it's indoor garden room for those not so sunny days, separate indoor male/female changing facilities and its rinse off showers.

O’Brien Chop House is an unassuming restaurant which offers traditional and hearty Irish food in a lovely atmospheric old Victorian Townhouse. Ingredients are all sourced locally and served at very reasonable prices. O’Brien is the original name of the premises, imprinted above the main window and the term 'Chop House' has been borrowed from London’s old chop houses where you could sample a variety of chops, cutlets and steaks on the bone. At O’Brien Chop House, we always have an assortment of chops, cutlets, steaks and pies on the menu. Seafood dishes also feature including seasonal oysters and whole fish cooked on the bone.
